the kitchen - before

so the first room in the house i'm sharing is the kitchen. here are some before pictures (the furniture, pictures, dishes, etc are not ours):

i plan to paint the cabinets and walls before we move in.  and soon thereafter try a refinishing technique on the laminate countertops and install a new backsplash. i'll share some inspiration ideas next.  you can't really tell in these pictures, but the floor tile is pink.... we are really excited about that (not).  but that is going to stick around for a while unfortunately.
